A Traveler's Guide: America's Living History-The Early Years, See Inside the Book, Meet the Authors

Suzanne & Craig Sheumaker
have traveled over 125,000 miles by car and motorhome in recent years, exploring America and visiting hundreds of historic and scenic attractions.

Thanks to portable computers and the Internet, they have been able to serve as independent consultants for a wide variety
of corporate clients while traveling.

Suzanne is a professional writer who began her career promoting world travel, went on to other topics (primarily heath care), and then returned to travel writing in recent years. Craig is a professional graphic designer and commercial photographer.

While searching out scenic locations for Craig's stock photography business, they developed an interest, and then a passion, for Living History museums and historic sites. They also came to realize that too many of these attractions are hidden gems, unknown to most Americans. Moving and insightful encounters with the nation’s remarkable past compelled them to create this unusual travel guide.
